lunch today: home made chicken soup with rivels(https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Rivels:)
asparagus and carrots. hot italian sausage(nothing to brag about), and potato salad.(real good). pineapple kipfel. coffee.
our rivels are different than the above recipe. we make a stiff dough, and then grate it through the big holes in a box grater. the rivels come out really nice and small. add an extra egg white, and they become more firm. you can purchase dried rivels here which are imported from hungary, but they are real pricey.
