IIRC the peanut harvest in the US (Carolinas) was adversely affected by
Hurricane Matthew. What do you mean by "redskin" peanuts? Do you mean
raw (aka "Spanish") peanuts that you have to roast? That's the kind I
buy when I make peanut brittle. Like this:

I can easily find jars of unsalted (and lightly salted) dry roasted
peanuts. I buy them frequently to eat as a snack. Yum!
