Surprising too as the time costs so much.

They are never good, imo. However, the one saving feature I
thought this year was how they crammed so many different things
into it. We had the regular band play a song or two then the lead
guy played some very lame "show off" lead guitar thing. Then some
rapper showed up on the other side of the M stage and even got
sensored a couple of times. They they featured the
sleevless-uniform drum corp. They did a fairly decent thing. And
then that Fat somebody black fellow in the fur coat lol doing
his stuff. And inbetween, the main band coming back. One song
that I recognized (old song but I guess it was his) that he sang
while the lighted drones formed words in the air. Then ended up
with his shirt off acting like a male dancer on womens night at
some bar. uggg (Please don't do that). Even when he took his
last shirt off, the "wife beater sleeveless undershirt" to reveal
all of his nifty body tattoos, I said to myself, "put your shirt
back on, idiot." It was an annoying show as usual but at least
was pretty diverse.
In pregame, I thought Gladys Knight did a good job with the
National Anthem.
Those two young girls that sang/ruined "America the Beautiful"
first though....oh crap...did they ever ruin that nice song. They
knew all the words but evidently barely looked at the musical
score. Typical young pop singers trying to "fix" a song with all
the extra notes. And sure enough, the very last note that ends on
one long note, they warbled through the entire scale 2-3 times
before they finally shut the hell up. heheh
Want to hear my favorite version of that song?
Google 'Ray Charles' 'America the Beautiful'
Fuggin' Ray really nailed that one.
