When you are on you feet for hours in the kitchen like I am, it's
great to have a TV. We have an open floor plan with a smallish second
family room connected to our kitchen. The TV sits in a recess
originally designed for a gas fireplace. I love it! DS (8 mos) can
play in the family room, I can watch him and cooking shows, and I can
get my work/cooking done. I can also pop in baby Einstein video for
him or whatever, if he gets bored with his toys. It's awesome. That
of course doesn't mean we don't have an active lifestyle - we do. But
there are times when I have to be in the kitchen, and having a TV to
watch helps make my work less tedious.
