oh sure, i eat raw garlic often enough it isn't
that hot to me (but it will numb your tongue or
gums if you let a piece of it sit there long
enough) and chili's i can handle ok up to the
Hatch Green chili scale of hot (which isn't that
hot in comparison to many, but it is good enough
for me).
if i get away from the hot sauce long enough i
have to start over, but within a week or two i can
regain my tolerance.
i do still remember my first bowl of green chili
stew in Santa Fe, NM many many years ago. it about
took the top of my head off, but i still loved it.
i wish i could grow them here, but they just don't
get the right flavor. i have to settle for roasted
red peppers which are very good in exchange. those
i can grow.
