I have simple needs too. I guess Thunderbird does not have those
functions that notbob is looking for, but I guess the evolution of the
reader never saw a need for it and it never occurred to me, so I see no
real need for it. I just find it easy to use because I have stuck to
similar readers for years and I am comfortable with it. Filters are easy
to set up and fairly effective. I think one filter I could see value in
is on that filters out the replies to the people in my filters.
