The hummingbirds out west are different from the ones I see... youre are
more brilliant! I do see mockingbirds. And the other day I saw a
catbird taking a bath in the bird bath. And a yellow-throated warbler
was sitting on top of the shepherd's hook!

Chipping sparrows, house finches and purple finches are also common.
I've seen goldfinches, too; I'd see lots more of them if I hung out a
thistle sock. I do love watching the birds. My cat Buffy doesn't even
notice when they're on the patio or splashing in the bird bath. Goofy cat.
