I don't think it is that high, but they do run into a lot of them. The
sad thing for the mentally ill is that their behaviour sometimes gets
them into trouble with the police and that the interactions sometimes
turn fatal. Then everybody dumps on the police for not being well enough
trained to deal with mental health issues. Well, they are cops, not
mental health workers. The victims family, friends, social workers and
mental health workers failed them before the police did.
