My wife's family kept a refrigerator in her bedroom. I thought that was
nutty as hell. It turns out that it was common for Koreans to have two
refrigerators. They needed a separate one to keep stinky kim chee.

I will take your word for the stinkyness of kim chee I have one large
upright fridge which is just right for us ... now freezers ... that is a
different matter <g>
