I was 8 and did the same. My cousin just got glasses and mom thought
maybe I just wanted to copy him like kids often do. A trip to the doc
verified it though. Bifocals at about 42. Resisted getting transitions
for a long time, now it is a "must have" for me.

I'm 20/20 with glasses, 20/400 without.
