Chili sauce is good, or try bottled cocktail sauce in the mix. Half
a cup, not half a bottle! I sent my mother a typed out copy of my
recipe for meatloaf and she mis-read it. She added half a bottle of
cocktail sauce instead of 1/2 cup. They loved it but she said the
mixture was *very* moist and fell apart. Well yeah...

I don't like the addition of plain ketchup on top of meat loaf. It
doesn't brown, it tends more towards burnt. YMMV. As long as you liked
it, Gary, that's really what matters.
