I am headed up to the Upper French Rive to do some kayaking in a few
weeks. I will be stopping to visit mu SiL in Muskoka on the way up. If
all goes well, the hardwood trees will be in full colour.
One year when my son was living in Montreal we went up to spend
Thanksgiving with him. It was a dull rainy day when we passed into
Quebec and there was a place with a maple forest on both sides of the
road. Even in the dreary rain the leaves were so brightly coloured they
seemed to glow.
