I type, in casual settings like newsgroup postings or personal
correspondence, pretty much as I speak. "I'm gonna try that recipe!"
because that's what it sounds like when I say it. I've never *said*
"prolly," so I would type "probably." I use web-type (BTW, AFAIK,
OTOH) for things I would normally speak, but for which the
abbreviations are well-known and save typing time.
