Default Apple Trees and baking

Thought some might find these useful!

Those with apple trees here are getting a huge crop. Here is some of
what I am doing with them.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

Title: Xxcarol's apple bread
Categories: Xxcarol, Breadmaker
Yield: 16 Servings

2/3 c Milk
2/3 c Chopped apple (peeled/cored)
2 ea Eggs
2 tb Water
2 tb Cut up butter
4 c Breadflour
3 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
3/4 ts Cinnamon
1 1/4 ts Yeast

Place all ingredients in the bread machine and set to dough mode.
Remove when done and let rise in large pullman type loaf top with the
lid off for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400F then add pan and bake 17
minutes.

Makes an excellent toast bread!

Optional, can make these into little mini-buns (about 20) and freeze.
Toaster oven perfect for a single person!

Title: Xxcarol's Apple Manna
Categories: Xxcarol, Fruits
Yield: 6 Servings

1 1/2 c Cut peeled and cored apples
1/4 c Brown sugar
3/4 c White sugar
3/4 c White flour
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 ea Egg
1/3 c Melted butter

This one is great on a rainy day. It doesn't take long at all to
make and uses nothing all that unusual.

Peel and core your apples then cut to size you like and line a square
glass dish with them about 1/2 or more inch deep. Add brown sugar and
toss about. I add some of the cinnamon here too.

Next mix the flour, white sugar, rest of the cinnamon, salt ans stir
that then add the egg and mix. It will seem a little dry but don't
worry. Spread this evenly over the apples then add your melted butter.

Oven at 375, takes about 45 minutes but some variation depending on
how much apples you had there.

Suggested sides: Nothing like a good slice of cheese at the side!
