I really enjoy really good fried okra. I love yellow squash as well but
have never eaten it battered. I cook it like my mom did; cut up squash,
a good amount of diced onion, a bit of bacon grease and a bit of water.
Salt and a generous amount of black pepper, cover and cook until all are
tender, stirring occasionally. If it's too juicy remove the lid and let
the squash cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.
