Most beers are very cheap... and the pricier ones really don't taste
any different... after the third beer they all taste the same. Anyway
I've no idea of the price of that Steel Reserve but it has about twice
the alcohol content of most beers so I'd figure as a "designer" beer
it's costs more than most. However in most every case the price of
alcoholic beverages has to do with packaging/advertising and not a
whit to do with actual quality. Madison Avenue is expert in training
people into prefering what they're selling regardless the value.
In most all cases people prefer the brands they grew up with
