A few years ago there was a tragic accident near here. A family was
returned from a day at Niagara Falls and their car was rear ended by a
truck which then left the scene. A five year old boy was killed. I read
the newspaper report the next day and noted that the names looked like
Roma names and assumed that it was a staged accident that went wrong.

The cops eventually located the truck driver and he was convicted of
leaving the scene, but the Gypsy car driver was also charged. He had
been driving on the highway with no lights. The car was loaded with a
bunch of his fellow Romas who had spent their last day before
deportation at the falls. After the accident they had to stick around
for medical treatment and as witnesses to the accident.
