Just to make it clear, I'm not saying that what you say isn't true - just that people don't think about where they choose to live in that way. My guess is that one day the shit is going to hit the fan i.e., the lava flows will destroy the city of Hilo - if a tsunami or hurricane doesn't get to it first. I'm guessing it's going to be sooner than later.
