I used to work at the Liquor Board in Ontario, so I saw all of them,
and we had "tastings" of them quite frequently.
I can't stand them. They are generally vodka, rum, or wine based, and
are mixed with some kind of fruit-flavoured liquid. They are all
cloyingly sweet - even the ones that claim to not be at all sweet. And
you never see one over 7% alcohol. They are basically gateway
alcoholic beverages for young girls who can't deal with the real
thing.
My spirit drink of choice is vodka and club soda. With or without a
squeeze of lime. And I enjoy a glass of good red wine.
