Who the heck uses the oven to heat up a house? Ovens are for baking stuff. In your home you can use the additional heat. We don't need any extra heat most times. This does not stop me from using the oven. Electricity costing 3X the national average does not stop me from using the oven. A oven doesn't cost that much to run - even in Hawaii. You should feel totally free to bake stuff - just don't use it to heat up your house.
