I had the same thought. I have to say that my first FS was a gift and
the material was very expensive. The replacement machine game with a lot
of extra bags and rolls of material.

Years ago my wife bought be a laser printer for Christmas. Within a
month I went shopping for a replacement toner cartridge and was
astounded at the cost... $85 at the time... compared to the $30 per
month I was spending on ink cartridges. However, it was about 3 years
before I had to use it. Years later I had a problem with the printer.
I took it too a computer store for repairs. It was going to be about
$150 for parts... plus labour. The guy pointed out that my toner
cartridge was almost empty. They had new laser printers on sale for $214.
