If it has a rubber hose and zero squeezable handle --looks like it
would stand, upside-down-- and is made of brass, it's a soda/acid
extinguisher and is probably dry. If it has a squeezable metal
handle, a hose, and what looks like a bicycle tire filler stem near
the handle and works right-side-up, it's a jes a pressurized water
extinguisher. Either way, you should ask at a reputable antique
dealer and perhaps get some "real" money, as those are some seriously
collectible extinguishers. "Collectable" is about all they are good
for, as they are painfully obsolete.

Kidde's extinguishers are cheap junk (A,B,C dry agent), but they are
"cheap" affordable junk and will do the job ....if in working
condition!
