Afraid that if people let them loose they might kill off the local
wildlife. In real life our ferrets are totally domesticated and in the
US sterilized from birth. Let your ferrets go in the wild and they would
die within a week or so.

When Governor ARNOLD was running for the office, he promised to legalize
ferrets in the state. After he won, he changed his mind. Jackass. And
funny....ever watch the movie "Kindergarten Cop" starring him? In that
movie he owned a pet ferret.
