If knowing means having to take care of a parrot, you're probably right about that. My guess is that you have to find somebody willing to take care of your birds after you're gone and that there's probably a organizations around that takes care of orphaned parrots.

If you ask me, it would be cheaper/easier to have a kid and have that as a pet.
