How many use this system for recipes?

Too true! I also don't need pictures of the finished dish unless I am
completely unsure of what it should look like. I edit those out.
I "inherited" a lot of hand-written recipes. Some were in my mother's
handwriting, others either of my grandmother's writing, a few given to
her by friends over the years. Mom often made notations at the top of
the recipe cards such as "good!" or "make again!".
