I agree that it is a good idea not to shop when hungry. I do not buy
drinks or food items to consume while shopping. I have been known to try
food samples that I have been offered, but I can't think of any that
inspired me to buy the product. On the contrary, most of them have been
disappointing. I especially remember once having a sample of hummus and
it was so terrible I was surprised that they would be giving out samples
of something so bad. They would have had a better chance of selling the
product on people willing to pay to try it because anyone who sampled it
would be nuts to buy it.
