Russians are sour, rude, and clannish...even most second and even third - generational ones are...an inordinately joyless bunch for the most part.
There is a Russian epithet, "ne kulturny", which translates as "no culture", it is used to insult a rude. crude, or bumpkin - ish person (Soviet leader Khrushchev was described thusly). "Ne kulturny" is a fairly apt description of the Russian character...
