on the European continent at least [not including the UK]
the common currency, the Euro, is a good thing

for one reason - there will be fewer Wars in the future,
because they have this common economic link

it's similar to the US and China, being large trading partners,
which is a deterrent to us getting into a War

this theory works better with countries that have a common Border
