For sure. I'm sorta back to the dial up days again even though I have
satellite broadband. The problem is the service is heavily
oversubscribed, it was fine for the first six months. Anyway, it's now
slow during peak hours, and with web sites getting more and more
bloated, things are now as slow as the dial up days were for me.

The satellite I'm on is government subsidised (part of the 'National
broadband Network') and was always intended to be temporary. I'm
overdue to be moved onto the new NBN satellite, when it'll actually
happen I don't know. IIRC that is something like 25Mbps whereas the
one I'm on currently is 6Mbps, but is actually closer to 64Kbps. Can't
view videos and certain sites at all... I can't even upload a small
pic during peak hours. And yet during offpeak hours, I download about
300GB per month.
