I can understand that. You (general you) have to try hard to accept that
their lives are short, and that every day is another one you have with
them. My favorite pets are cats, and while they live longer, they don't
live long enough. But I've always taken in another when room has been
made for one by the powers that be. I don't judge anyone who isn't ready.
