My lawn needs to be mowed at least twice a week in the spring too. It
is much faster and easier on the mower to do it at least that often and
not cut it too short than to let it grow long and make the engine
struggle with the extra work. Otherwise, you have to slow right down
and end up having to rake up the clippings.
