Marginal is a good descriptor for them. I stopped wasting my money on
Halos, Cuties or any of the other bagged mandarins because every bag I
bought the fruit seemed to be dried out and full of seeds. Last year our
Target started stocking an orange called Vintage Sweets, and they were so
incredibly good!! Tasted just like oranges from my childhood, juicy and
sweet. I was so disappointed when they stopped stocking them, and was
overjoyed when I saw them back on the shelves a couple of weeks ago.
Unfortunately, they were not as good as the ones last year, so won't be
buying them again anytime soon. I'll save my orange eating for the weeks
I'm at home in Florida and can get them fresh from local growers.
