In the canning section of most stores, I was able to buy an item that is great for storing little leftovers. It looks like a silicone ice cube tray with a tight fitting cover. It's what I use to store my home made pesto. It has 9 square separate sections, and I can just pop out one section at a time. I also use it for the leftovers from a little tomato paste can. I leave it in the freezer. It's sort of like a Tupperware container with a rubber lid.
