I stick my leftover tomato paste in baggies in the freezer. I remove all the air and freeze it in a thin sheet so I can later break off sections while it's still frozen. The paste saved this way is a bit hard to find sometimes. It always makes me happy to find the paste in the freezer after searching for it. Sometimes I don't find it and it makes me sad.
