those long English cucumbers

We like them better because the seeds are smaller and softer, and the
skin is thinner. They taste just like the others, as far as we can tell.
Once in a while we get one that's old, and the flesh is a little
yellow and the taste is off. Perhaps the turnover at your grocers
is too slow. On the other hand, I've had that same experience with
standard cukes, too.
