My garage has been overly damp and I don't know why. We have had a bit of a
dampness problem since we moved in but it got worse. I had two little
rechargeable units that I keep near the onions and potatoes but I was
actually seeing standing wetness in there on the top of the barstool and the
lip of a trash can. I thought at first that somebody had dripped water or
something but, no. Got a tiny electric dehumidifier. Was inexpensive and
it works great! I have to empty it every 3-5 days and I think it holds
about 1.5 cups of water. I shudder to think of how often I would have
needed to empty that in our house on Cape Cod. We had a huge until there
and I had to empty it once or twice a day.
