No cite available, just my observation. Some cans, when using the
beak to pick the lid, the lid just comes up easily. Some cans are
harder to pull the lid up and reveal a substance with threads that is
holding the lid on. Call it what you will. (name brands like maybe
S&W) I'll try to remember and take a picture the next time it
happens.
