No. I know that it can be set that way. Daughter did that and I didn't
know it. Could not figure out why it was trying to take me a weird way to
get to Bellevue and had we taken that route we would have missed the
performance. Luckily I had printed off the Mapquest route as well.
We had more time going home and I hate the freeway so I just trusted that it
would get me to my friend's house and it did.
Normally if I know at least part of the route, I will just keep going that
way and it won't make me go back to the freeway. But it's all good as I got
what I needed at Walmart and found a few new items. I just have been
avoiding that area due to the high crime rate but they had tons of extra
security there and I had no problemd.

I don't do at all well with maps which is why I try not to use them.
Husband gets mad at me because he loves maps. Can't understand why I don't.
