I thought this kid was a contender. I thought he could go the
distance. What's more, he looked like a miniature Graham just as
last year's winner was a miniature Gordon.

But Nate foundered on the same rock that the grownups do. From
top individual chef he became team leader, with no experience and
not much aptitude. Then the pressure test was to make a croquembuche,
at which even the grownups crashed and burned a couple of years ago.
Oh well kid.
