Kerry has certainly been over-emphasizing his Vietnam service, but it pales
to insignificance when you consider the following:
- Bush using family connections to get cushy national guard service, jumping
over 500 people on the waiting list, and then going AWOL. I wonder if
whoever went in Shrubby's place was killed or crippled?
- The hypocritical republicans who fumed and ranted about Clinton's lack of
service and are completely silent about Bush's.
- Bush lying about his campaign's non-connection to the Swift Boat Veterans
for Truth (haha) group.
- The astounding gaggle of documented lies and distortions being spread by
the above group.
- The hypocrite Bush suddenly coming out against 527 group ads *after* the
SBVT ads have done their damage to Kerry and *just as* ads from MoveOn and
other Kerry-aligned groups are starting to have an effect.
