Sadly, the resupply ships often get the worst crap.

It was someplace around 1997 when the Stennis got a resupply (Fuel) and
found out the crew of that ship hadn't had a personal food load in a
long time. In a rapid vote, the CPO mess donated an entire
surf-n-turf. As the last of their fuel came over, we ran to the
topside as the word came over that we were making a delivery. We sent
them a gift via helo on the way out. 300 steaks and 300 lobster tails.

We were close enough to see the huge grins as they realized what we'd
passed back to them. A lot of shouting and waves, then we passed on by.
