I've found that some brands of bags are of *much* better quality than
others.
I have a large quantity of cheap bags I bought from a catering
suppliers, they're 'okay', but I can get another brand (only available
at retail prices) which are far tougher and less prone to tearing. The
cheaper ones also don't seem to heat seal quite as good either.
I much prefer to pay more for the better quality bags, rather than
have the occasional frozen item that has some freezer burn because the
bag has torn of the seal has broken.
