Is there something else that would work? Bleach gives me severe respiratory
problems.

That's what I had tried to do. But someone else put it right back in. I
can't keep the food in the house now because it is drawing fruit flies and
quickly stinking in the heat. But maybe I will have to come up with some
sort of other, smaller bin to put outside and dry out. But then that would
likely draw ants or something. We are having problems with bugs of all
kinds this year.
