Default Chili tonight.

Maybe not the best dish for such hot weather but making it only involved my
buying fresh cilantro and jalapenos, both of which I could have done without
as I do have dried ones but... I do have one leftover hamburger patty and 4
leftover hot dogs and buns for both. So they can have a choice of a chili
dog, chili size or just the chili. I did use Rotel, tomato sauce and jarred
salsa. Otherwise from scratch. Even the dried beans. And yes, I could
have done it totally from scratch but the point was to use some things up.

And my new freezer arrived. It is a 2.1 cubic foot upright. Brand is
Supentown. It has been resting upright to settle the fluids inside, plugged
in and is up to temp. now. Just waiting for husband to come home. I will
get him his dinner then go to the store to fill it. It won't hold a lot but
I did put all of my hard blue ice in it. That frees up the top of the
little fridge for the medical ice and whatever food my husband might want to
put in there for just himself. I wound up just giving him that fridge
because he kept having issues with the big one. Like not being able to find
anything. Heh. Anyway... I will start myself out with a bag of purchased
ice and then when it's gone, I can make some myself. And it will give me
some space for extra frozen treats since they are being eaten at alarming
speed. I just hope the store has been able to restock. People are buying
the stuff like mad. It's 84 degrees in here. Only reason I haven't gotten
the swamp cooler out yet is that it is supposed to cool off on Sunday I
think.
