your noosefroup has become infested with Spammy.
WHAT IS SPAMMY?
Spammy goes by too many aliases to list here. He/She changes his/her
alias at least once a week, often several times a week, depending on
how badly he/she has his/her ass kicked in a debate. Spammy roams the
political NG's pretending to be a patriot, but adds little evidence of
such to support such wild claims. He/she has admitted to having
avoided serving his/her country. Sadly, Spammy is a clueless troll who
tries albeit unsuccessfully to have a valid argument about anything
legitimate.
For most in these NG's, Spammy has become so much of a botheration
that he/she is regularly plonked into the trash can by many regulars
once the new alias appears. With the diminishing rather than growing
number of posters in these NG's, Spammy is fairly easy to spot. Each
time a new alias appears, thelikelihood of it being Spammy is fairly
high. Here are some things to watch for:
1. Spammy has apparantly finally figured out how to change
newsservers. Those of you with robust newsreader programs can design a
filter to trash all posts from his new newsserver with a high level of
confidence that his/her posts will disappear. Spammy is too chicken to
post under a real name and provide an IP address although through
research one has been determined (more on this later in
the post).
2. Look for the continued use of extremely foul language, including
delusions of bestiality and pedophilia. He/she is often hard pressed
for a better rebuttal than to start yelling. Here are some examples.

3. A typical Spammy pattern will be to respond in an almost human
manner on the first day of the new alias to try and suck people in.
Rooting him/her out is relatively easy. Just say something bad about
Bush or Republicans. Works every time. With each passing post, one can
see Spammy's blood pressure rise until the answers start arriving in
all capital letters. Shortly thereafter, Spammy will disappear and
resurface with a new alias. About once a month, Spammy disappears
for a week or more. There are several theories about why this happens,
among the most logical are a trip to the psych ward for new meds, he
pulled his head out of his ass again or a he got another lobotomy.
4. Spammy often tries to intimidate people by posting something
inflammatory that the poster has previously posted as a rebuttal to
their post. He is also known to attempt humor by changing the
signature of other posters. His favorite targets seem to be Shatzer,
TorresD, Gatt and others. It is often good for a laugh how many times
he tries the same tricks unsuccessfully.
5. One of Spammy's favorite ploys is to erase the complete post of the
previous poster and add a foul reply, thinking that by erasing the
previous post, Spammy has somehow erased it from the NG. Spammy seems
too simple minded to understand that the original post remains
regardless of how many times he/she erases it during the reply.
6. Spammy always gets the last words. They may be suitable only for
his/her clients at the local transexual bar bathroom, but nevertheless
it is futile to try and outpost the Spamster. Attempting to post a
follow up will only warrant another volley of smut.
7. Spammy often posts the IP address lookup of the poster if it is
available as if he/she has outed that person. Since turnabout is fair
play, here is the IP address from which Spammy posts: 206.124.6.34
<206-124-6-34.denver.dsl.forethought.net>. Using the following web
site (
http://www.ip-adress.com/) with the satellite function clicked,
one can zoom in on the apartment complex of exactly where this
useless, toothless piece of pedophilic trailer trash lives.
8. Spammy often posts 24/7, leading one to believe that he/she doesn't
work and stays at home a lot. There have been many theories, including
Spammy being recluse, handicapped, alchoholic, pedophilic, drug
addict, etc. The truth is that we don't really know what it is that
Spammy does for work or enjoyment. But as he seems to be at the
computer 24/7, one can easily envision him spending his
days ordering Viagra and Cialis from the countless email offers he
receives and answering all of those African emails about wire
transfers and lottery award notices. Probably keeps him busy enough.
So who is Spammy? Throughout the years, many have posted who they
believe Spammy to truly be. For example, one poster using the alias
Liberator, suggested that Spammy is actually Virginia Dawn Newbon.
Liberator has posted home addresses and even a cell phone number of
Newbon, who is living on the East Coast. This hardly fits with the IP
address above being Denver based. Liberator seems obsessed with
Spammy and has even (get the barf bag ready) proposed marriage. Since
many of Spammy's earlier posts were to Colorado based NG's, and he/she
still frequents them and uses a Denver based IP address, Newbon
doesn't seem likely to be Spammy. A better possibility was presented
relatively early in Spammy's posting history. It seems that the
posting patterns above matched exactly a poster by the name of Chris
West who was using an Earthlink ISP and the email address
" for a short while prior to the appearance
of Spammy. West, who happens to live extremly close to where the ISP
locator shows on the satellite picture from the above mentioned web
site, seems the most likely answer. It should be said that Chris may
also be a neighbor of Spammy and just another victim of identity theft
as one of Spammy's infinite aliases. As the name Chris can be either
female or male, Spammy remains sexless (pun intended). A quick search
at ZABA reveals that Chris West lives at:
925 Downing St.
Denver, CO
Further information on West can be easily obtained through websites

WHAT TO DO ABOUT SPAMMY?
There are a number of options. The aforementioned filter of his
newsserver is one. Many newsgroup reader programs also have the option
of setting a time limit on the filters. 30 days should be more than
enough for every alias as Spammy never uses an alias for more than a
week or so. Also, forwarding his posts in entirety (with all headers)
to his newsserver with a complaint is not a bad option.
Responding to any of Spammy's posts is tantamount to poking the lion
in the ass with a red hot iron stick and often the best way to provoke
further trolling, but if you choose to do so, caveat emptor.
Responsding to a Spammy post by reposting this FAQ is also acceptable.
As always, the best way to get a useless troll to go away is to ignore
him. Eventually he will just stick his head back up his ass and
forget.
