I wouldn't know a "real rheumatologist" If one bit me in the butt. I've
been on allopurinol for over a decade and am quite happy not to have had
a gout attack since my doc gave me the script. The last attack was
apparently triggered by anchovies. I only ate them cause my grandson was
visiting and we usually split a small pizza with them little salty fish
added. Ouch!
In, any event only anchovies and sardines scare me. I used to carry a
couple of cans of anchovies in case the pizza place was out. No more!
I have a couple of cans in my kitchen. You can have them, but you'll
have to come get them.
