If you read the link, it tells you:

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from
your eligible AmazonSmile purchases.

Yes, it clearly shows that 0.5% will be donated, but there is no way to
learn at the end of the year (or quarter) how much the total is. I spend
far too much on Amazon, but I do not keep a running tally that would enable
me to know how much my charity receives. I do the same thing with Kroger,
but they do provide a way to learn the total. This would not change my
spending habits, but it would just be nice to know how much my charity
receives from AmazonSmile.
