merry christmas to you too nb.
We had our old neighbours over for supper. They are still in the midst
of getting settled in their new place. We had a steak and mushroom pie.
My wife made the filling and I made the crust. She roasted potatoes,
steamed some beans and made a green salad. Dessert was a fruit salad and
an assortment of shortbreads, brownies and mincemeat.
Christmas supper is at my brother's place tomorrow. Our son is staying
with us for a few nights. He works 12 hour shifts so it allows him to
spend some time here without travelling back and forth from his place.
We had a rolled turkey breast for him and one of our nephews last night.
We will make a special breakfast tomorrow but he has to be on his way
to work by 11 am.
