It has to be hyperbole. I've never understood the holiday frenzy that
others seem to talk about, we have never gone overboard with shopping
or spending - so the concept is out of my realm of experience. We
have wonderful Christmas's with plenty of gift giving, but nobody goes
into the poorhouse and we aren't exhausted at the end of the holiday
season.
