We have some table bought used and they are very nice and will probably
last another 100+ years.
When I was about 6 years old, my mother bought a bureau for the bedroom
I shared with my brother. I moved first and he took it when he moved
out. It was painted (remember antiquing kits?) and bounced around in his
houses, then back to my grandmother's and I finally took it. I stripped
and refinished it a few years ago. It looks fantastic, is well made
solid maple At 60+ years old it is better than most new and my
grandkids, if smart, will keep it.
